“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13) Out of His great and perfect love for us, Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice to atone for our sins. But a lot can happen in three days! And Jesus’ triumph over death and His Resurrection is the glorious hope that holds us.
True love is a committed relationship. It is a two-way street. As Christians we are called to a close personal relationship with Christ. We can reach the heart of God through our love, gratitude, prayer, worship, Bible reading, and by our obedience to His commandments. Pope Benedict XVI said it best, “Only in this personal relationship with Christ, only in this encounter with the Risen One do we truly become Christians.” (2008)
In the Old and New Testament we find the commandment to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind.”1 My hope is that during this Holy Season, we all have strengthened our love relationship with the Lord. All Glory, Praise, and Honor, to you, Redeemer King.
God Bless you all! Have a joyous Easter.

Thank you, Donna! You’ve shared the good news with beautiful simplicity and a loving heart. Love is certainly a two-way street. The more we express our love for Jesus, the more we want to know and love him, the more love He pours into our lives. His love is never measured. He pours as our capacity to receive it grows.
I’ve shared this on FB and Twitter.
Happy Easter to you and your lovely family — all of them!
Blessings!
